Information and Education
These groups provide basic information about the signs, symptoms, and phases of the disease of chemical dependency, its effects on major life areas, and available treatment, including self-help. The program consists of four sessions of 90 minutes each. These groups meet the state requirement for Alcohol/Drug Education for public intoxication and marijuana possession legal charges. Fee: $90/4 sessions; no sliding fee scale. Eligibility: No restrictions. Inpatient Detoxification Program Hours: 24/7
This 30-bed program provides inpatient alcohol and drug detoxification services and treatment that includes medical evaluation, medical detoxification, counseling, alcohol/drug education, introduction to AA/NA, and referral to additional treatment/support services. The average length of stay is 10 days. Fee: Accepts many forms of health insurance and third-party payers. Sliding fee scale based on income for residents of Seven Counties Services' region. Eligibility: 18 years or older with alcoholism or other addiction and not exhibiting active suicidal or homicidal behavior. Inpatient Rehabilitation/Residential Services Hours: 24/7
This 46-bed program provides adult inpatient rehabilitation/residential alcohol and drug treatment services that include counseling, alcohol/drug education, relapse prevention, introduction to AA/NA, and referrals to community resources. It is for persons who have completed JADAC's detox program. The average length of stay is 15 days. Fee: Sliding fee scale based on income to residents of Seven Counties Services' region. Most insurance and other third-party pay accepted. Eligibility: 18 years or older who have completed JADAC inpatient detoxification program (see above). Clients who have completed the detox program can be transferred to this program. Referral: Contact JADAC's client services at (502) 583-3951.
Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
This program provides treatment for two to ten weeks for adults, allowing them to continue working or going to school while receiving services. Clients attend from two to four nights a week. Fee: Accepts many forms of health insurance and third-party payers. Sliding fee scale based on income available for residents of Seven Counties' region. Eligibility: 18 years and older. Women’s IOP (intensive outpatient program)
This program provides intensive outpatient treatment specially designed for women with addictions. Clients attend Monday through Friday from one to five hours daily. Treatment continues in this program for two to five months. Fee: Insurance accepted and sliding fee scale for residents of Seven Counties Services' region. Eligibility: Women 18 years and older with addictions. Priority is given to Child Protective Services' clients. Adult Counseling and Aftercare
These services for adults include assessment, aftercare education/discussion groups, pre-treatment groups, group and family counseling, and dual diagnosis groups. Fee: Sliding scale based on income and many forms of health insurance. Eligibility: Persons 18 and older with a primary diagnosis of addiction and who do not require a more restrictive environment to benefit from treatment. Concerned Persons Hours: Th 6-7:30 p.m.
This program provides addiction education for persons who are related or close to someone with an alcohol and/or drug problem. Program consists of 3-4 sessions that a participant can begin attending at any point of the 3-4-week schedule. Fee: None. This program is underwritten by Metro United Way. Eligibility: Persons age 13 and older. Referral: No appointment necessary. Interested persons should arrive at 5:45 p.m. prior to program start.
Criminal Justice Program
This program provides intervention, outreach, assessment, alcohol/drug education groups, and individual and group counseling for persons 18 and older arrested for driving-under-the-influence (DUI), marijuana possession, or other alcohol/drug-related offenses. Fee: Sliding fee scale based on income. Eligibility: Age 18 and older with alcohol and/or drug-related court involvement. Referral: To refer, contact JADAC's client services at (502) 583-3951.
Project Link
This program offers outreach and case management services designed to identify, assess, and link pregnant and postpartum women to addiction treatment and other community resources. Fee: No cost to participants. The costs of this program are underwritten by the Ky. Division of Substance Abuse, and it accepts Medicaid. Eligibility: Pregnant or postpartum women who have or may have problems with alcohol/drugs. Referral: Accepts self-referrals as well as those from families, health and human service providers. Renaissance House c/o 600 S. Preston St. (502) 634-3948 Hours: 24/7
Renaissance House is a halfway house for women who have completed the alcohol/drug program affiliated with the Ky. correctional system, or are referred by the state probation and parole office. Referrals from parole officers require inpatient admission at JADAC. Length of stay is 4-7 months. Services include alcohol/drug education, relapse prevention, recovery dynamics, errors in thinking, counseling, referral and self-help. Fees: 50% of income. Eligibility: Must be referred by KY correctional staff or Probation/Parole Officer. Referral: Accepted only from KY corrections staff or probation and parole via Jefferson County east end office. Consultation
JADAC can provide consultation/training about addictions and treatment to healthcare and human service providers, policymakers, as well as training for businesses/industry on how to identify and refer alcohol/drug abusing employees to treatment. Fee: $100-$150/hour Eligibility: No restrictions. Referral: Contact division director above at (502) 583-3951.
Lighthouse Adolescent Recovery Center

The Lighthouse provides residential alcohol and drug treatment services to adolescents 13-18 years old. Treatment includes counseling, alcohol/drug education, relapse prevention, AA/NA meetings, and referrals to community resources. Length of stay usually is four to six months. Residential operations are 24/7; business hours are 8:30 - 5:00 p.m.; assessments and admissions by appointment only. Fee: Accept many forms of health insurance and other third party payers. Kentucky Medicaid through EPSDT. Sliding fee scale based on income. Eligibility: Youths age 13-18 with alcohol/drug addiction who can benefit from residential treatment. Referral: Accept self-referrals as well as those from parents and other caregivers, schools, and other human and medical service providers. Youth Co-Occurring Disorder Assessment and Treatment
LANSAT (Louisville Area Network for Specialized Adolescent Treatment)

Services include assessment; case management; individual, family and treatment groups; psychiatric evaluations and medication; referrals to treatment; and a resource library. LANSAT is a partnership between private and public agencies committed to developing a system of care for adolescents with risk behavior, substance abuse and co-occurring mental health problems and their families. LANSAT partner agencies provide assessment and treatment services for adolescents and their families. The partner agencies include Seven Counties Services; the Morton Center; Our Lady of Peace Hospital; the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice; the Court Designated Workers Office; Family & Children First; the Kentucky Department of Community Based Services; and the Jefferson County Public Schools's Safe and Drug Free Schools Assessment Center. An example of a partnership venture includes the Jefferson County Juvenile Durg Court. In addition, many other community organizations that provide services and support to adolescents participate on the LANSAT Advisory Board. Fee: Assessment costs are covered by Medicaid. Services are provided on a sliding scale for those clients without insurance or Medicaid. There is no cost to use the resource library. Eligibility: LANSAT assessments and case management services are available for adolescents ages 12-20, who are in need of risk behavior (include substance abuse) assessment, treatment and adjunctive programming and who live in the Louisville metropolitan area. Referral: Anyone (parents, guardians, pediatricians, psychiatrists, private therapists, school personnel, social service professionals, etc.) may make a referral for an assessment by calling (502) 736-3060. Adolescents also may refer themselves for an assessment. A youth's parent or guardian should attend the assessment session to assist in choosing the best treatment options.
Early Intervention Program & Zero-Tolerance Program

Early intervention Program (EIP) The Early Intervention Program is for adolescents ages 13-20 who are at risk for, or who may already be experiencing, problems related to alcohol, tobacco or other drug use. Evaluations of the EIP have shown that approximately 80% of youth completing this program are not cited for alcohol/drug use within the following 12 months. In addition, results also indicate that parents report a more positive relationship with their child and more effective communication tools about substance abuse. Youth completing the EIP report a greater understanding of the risks associated with alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, and less involvement with peers who use drugs. Services: Brief assessment, youth and parent education and support sessions, assistance in referral to other needed community resources, case management, and follow-up. Fee: There is a fee associated with the program; however, scholarships are available to those who qualify. Eligibility: Any young person age 13-20 is eligible for the program. Zero-Tolerance Under 21 DUI Program (ZT) This specialized program, supported and approved by the Kentucky Division of Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse, provides services to young people ages 16-20 who have been charged with state regulation KRS 189A.010(1)(e), with a Zero Tolerance under 21 DUI offense. Services are similar as described above for the Early Intervention Program, with additional emphasis on impaired driving. Parents are not require to attend if the young person is over age 18. Fee: $175 Eligibility: Young persons cited for a ZTDUI offense while under the age of 21. To enroll: Call Early Intervention Program office listed above.
