Network Specialist (Hybrid position)

Job Description:

This position is open to Louisville Metro Residents and works on a Hybrid schedule.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•    Implement, support, and maintain a Zoom Voice-Over-IP environment
•    Support and maintain all XMedius cloud faxing
•    Assist with the installation, support and maintenance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SDWAN architecture
•    Analyze and isolate issues providing support to other information technology teams and users
•    Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to users
•    Assists in the managing of networking vendors for installation/maintenance of software or hardware
•    Maintains inventory and stock, and takes responsibility for tools and test equipment
•    Create technical support documentation for relevant systems and applications
•    Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by organization to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to the organization.


EDUCATION


•    High School or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.


EXPERIENCE


•    With an Associate’s degree 2 years’ experience. With less than an Associate’s 5-6 years’ experience in an information technology field.
•    Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts and operations, network security principles, and best practices
•    Experience and success with enterprise-level LAN, WAN, and WLAN engineering, design, and implementation
•    Experience in a Cisco Meraki networking environment
•    Experience in a Zoom Voice-Over-IP environment
•    Experience with XMedius cloud faxing

REQUIREMENTS


•    Eighteen (18) years of age or older
•    Strong interest and drive to solve problems and improve end user experience
•    Proven ability to quickly grasp information and independently produce results
•    Strong communications skills, especially in written documentation
•    After hours work will be required when maintenance, upgrades, or any other issue necessitates

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position requires lifting of 20 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of items weighing up to ten pounds.
  • Normal work tasks may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissue.
  • May involve 24-hour on-call responsibilities.

Full time
