Volunteering with Seven Counties Services is a rewarding way to give back to your community and support those in need. Our volunteers are crucial in assisting with programs, providing administrative support, and offering companionship to individuals in our care. Whether you have a few hours a week or can commit to a longer-term role, your time and talents are valuable to us. When you volunteer with us, you’ll see firsthand the difference you can make in someone’s life.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Tutoring children at our afterschool program.
- Doing activities with our clients in recovery.
- Planning educational sessions for our clients, such as Stress Management, Finance 101, Dress for Success, and more!
- Please help us make fun, safe environments for our youth by planting a garden, cleaning playgrounds, etc.

Do I need previous experience to volunteer with Seven Counties Services?
No experience is necessary to start volunteering with us!
Is there an age restriction to be a volunteer?
You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.
What do I need to do to start volunteering?
To get started, you will need to fill out an interest form above on our website. From there, our Community Engagement Coordinator will reach out to you via email to help find a volunteer placement that meets your interests. When a volunteer placement has been identified, we will coordinate a required background check and a tuberculosis test. Once we have the results from both, we will schedule an hour-long volunteer orientation!
What should I expect during volunteer orientation?
Volunteer orientation is an hour-long virtual training that provides information about Seven Counties Services, how to keep you and our clients safe, how to use the volunteer website, and how to be an awesome volunteer!
What is the time commitment for reoccurring volunteers?
Time commitment for volunteers includes 12 hours a year, or one hour a month.
What is volunteering like at Seven Counties Services?
We have many volunteer opportunities such as tutoring youth in our afterschool program, playing games with our clients, spending time with the elderly, and everything in between! We want to know your interests and will find the perfect volunteer placement for you.

What is the difference between a reoccurring volunteer and a one-time volunteer?
A reoccurring volunteer is someone who comes to volunteer on a regular basis at the same location, whether that is once a week or once a month.
A one-time volunteer is someone who volunteers at an event hosted by Seven Counties Services or is volunteering with a community group/corporation.
Is there a cost to be a volunteer?
There is no cost to be a volunteer. Seven Counties Services will pay for your background check and tuberculosis test. However, if you are unable to make it to a test we schedule for you, then you will be responsible for the test and its cost. Remember, you cannot start volunteering until you have taken a tuberculosis test.

No, Seven Counties Services employees are unable to volunteer.
