Mechanical Technician - Central State Hospital

Job Description:

Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Plumber to join our team. This position will primarily work Monday - Friday, day-shift.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for plumbing duties in the construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, repair, remodeling or removal and replacement of plumbing.

  • Plans and implements preventative maintenance program for plumbing lines, valves, fixtures, gauges, and equipment.

  • Inspects plumbing lines, fixtures and equipment to determine necessary repairs.

  • Responds to plumbing repair work orders and emergency requests as assigned.

  • Repairs and replaces leaking lines, faucets, and plumbing apparatus and equipment.

  • Installs plumbing lines and valves to boilers and heating equipment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the demands of the department including plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation and repair, ceiling tile installation and repair, locksmith, landscaping, HVAC.Β

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Journeyman License

  • 2 years of experience
