Preparation is the key to successful projects, and the earlier you can begin this process, the better, particularly if the project is new. Giving as many specifics as possible upfront helps too.
Project requesting forms are due 4-6 weeks before you want the final project and must be approved by your divisional vice president.
The advancement team will do everything in our power to hit the deadline, however, "last minute" projects or those without sufficient lead time are not guaranteed to be completed by the requested date.
Project managers (the person requesting the project) are responsible for:
- All typed content
It will be assumed that all typed content has been proofed, spell-checked, and approved by the department supervisors and all necessary stakeholders before it is submitted.
- Edits
Once a project has been submitted back for initial proofing, project managers will be responsible for collecting and stilling all edits from their team and returning one set of edits to the advancement team for efficiency and clarity.
Project managers are encouraged to submit examples of pieces they've seen in the public or online, and we will work with the project manager on the creation (look/feel) of the project. The Advancement team, however, will have final approval on branding to ensure that our brand is consistent and within guidelines.
