September is National Recovery Month: Seven Counties Services Offers Hope and Healing

A Story of Recovery

Carol’s story is just one example. Each year, we support more than 4,000 people on their path to recovery. Carol is a single mom who once felt overwhelmed and alone. She was drinking just to get through the day. Depression made everything harder, and she worried she might lose her home and her children.

Tired of feeling “sick and tired,” Carol reached out to Seven Counties Services for help.

With our support and care, Carol began her recovery journey. It wasn’t easy, but she kept going—one day at a time. Today, she has a job, pays her rent faithfully, and her children are with her and are safe and thriving. She is building a life that she’s grateful for.

Every September, National Recovery Month helps people understand mental health challenges and substance use disorder – co-occurring conditions. It also celebrates strength, courage, and healing. At Seven Counties Services, recovery is at the heart of what we do. With the right care and support, we believe recovery is possible for everyone. We create environments where people feel heard, seen, respected, and valued.

Recovery is not the same for every person. It may include managing mental health concerns, overcoming substance use challenges, and finding stability after hard life experiences. Recovery takes time. It is not about being perfect. It is about moving forward, even when things are hard.

Seven Counties Services Offers Hope, Support, and Care

Recovery starts with hope. It grows through caring relationships and support. At Seven Counties Services, we provide person-centered care. That means we listen without judgement, help people build on their strengths, and support them at every stage of their journey. We offer a wide range of mental health and substance use services, including:

• Counseling and therapy
• Substance use treatment
• Crisis support
• Recovery housing and ongoing care
Our goal is to help people feel safe, supported, and understood. We want every person to have the tools they need to move forward.

Celebrate Recovery Month

This September, we honor the strength of people in recovery and recognize the families and supporters who walk alongside them. Recovery is real. Healing is possible. And no one has to do it alone.
