She has a deep understanding of integrated care delivery, value-based care contracting, and payment model design. Furthermore, her experience in forensic correctional mental health, leadership coaching, team member engagement, and strategic planning has earned her recognition as a fellow of the Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute.
During these 30 years of contributions to the nonprofit field, Elizabeth has also earned certification as a Patient Centered Medical Home Content Expert by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Notably, she has also been involved in the American Psychological Association Business of Practice Network Steering Committee and served as the Director of Mental Health for the Kentucky Department of Corrections, as well as the Director of the Health Psychology Emphasis Area and Clinical Associate Professor with the Spalding University School of Professional Psychology.
Through her many accolades, roles, experiences and unwavering dedication to the nonprofit field, Elizabeth’s commitment to creating positive change is evident. From public health policy and health service design to strategic planning and leadership coaching, her areas of expertise are impressive and ongoing.
In her interview with Louisville Business First, Elizabeth’s response to how she would use an extra $5 million in our organization’s budget involved collaborating with other organizations.
“I would look for opportunities to collaborate with others to see how we could fill the gaps between services to meet the essential needs of individuals in our community,” she said. “The gap dollars would help with these ‘in-between services’ barriers. It’s difficult for individuals to obtain and maintain their health when they don’t have their essential needs met.”
