Dr. Pukur Patel Recognized as Health Care Hero
We are thrilled to share that our Associate Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Pukur Patel, has been honored as a 2022 Health Care Hero in the Provider category by Louisville Business First!
Louisville Business First’s annual Health Care Heroes program features medical professionals who go above and beyond to care for their patients and the community. The program honors those who have made an impact on health care in our community through their concern for patients, research, innovation, management skills, and being on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Patel was one of three healthcare professionals recognized in the Provider category. This category award honors a physician, nurse, or other healthcare professional who works directly with patients and who shows exceptional achievement in their work.
This well-deserved recognition highlights Dr. Patel’s exceptional dedication and outstanding contributions to healthcare, particularly in providing exemplary care to our community. His commitment to patient well-being and tireless efforts have not only made a significant impact within our organization but have also set a commendable standard in the healthcare sector. About Dr. Patel
Dr. Patel has spent over 24 years in the industry and currently serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Seven Counties Services. In his role, Dr. Patel has supervisory responsibility for eight outpatient clinic physicians and our crisis stabilization unit. Additionally, as part of his role in quality improvement, Dr. Patel sits on committees dedicated to optimizing Seven Counties Services’ high standards of treatment.
In an interview with Louisville Business First, Dr. Patel said the staff he works with at Seven Counties Services makes him hopeful about the future of health care in our community. “I often work with younger professionals, and they are bright, dedicated, and inspiring,” he said. “I am hopeful because every day I see health care professionals in every field working through the very difficult recent years. I see young people entering health care for the right reasons. I learn so much from these young people as they challenge and inspire me.”
