Empowering Women on the Path to Recovery
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, Seven Counties Services proudly recognizes the resilience and strength of women in their journey toward recovery from addiction. Throughout March, we shine a light on our commitment to providing specialized addiction recovery services tailored specifically for women, including pregnant and parenting individuals.
Two of these key services include our Women’s Addiction Recovery Center and Women’s Renaissance Center. Each offer full support and empower women to reclaim their lives and thrive beyond addiction.
Women’s Addiction Recovery Center
Addiction affects individuals from all walks of life, regardless of gender. However, the journey to recovery can vary significantly, especially for women who may face unique challenges and barriers. Recognizing this, Seven Counties Services offers specialized women’s addiction recovery programs at the Women’s Addiction Recovery Center, located in Jeffersontown, Kentucky.
This residential program runs on a 30–45-day model and is rooted in evidence-based treatment practices. This includes the traditional 12-step approach with medication-assisted treatment. By providing a safe, structured environment, the Women’s Addiction Recovery Center cuts down on outside distractions and provides a solid foundation for life-long recovery.
Women’s Renaissance Center
At the heart of our women’s recovery services is the Women’s Renaissance Center, nestled in the peaceful landscape of Shelbyville, KY. This center is specifically designed for pregnant women struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The program’s main objective is not only to support the recovery of expectant mothers but also to ensure the well-being of their unborn children.
This is done by providing a comfortable environment along with basic needs for mothers and babies. Staff also go above and beyond by keeping mothers engaged and educated from parenting classes to medication management and meeting with an OBGYN. By providing a structured, supportive, and empowering therapeutic environment, the Women’s Renaissance Center offers a pathway to recovery that allows women to deliver their babies free from addiction and maintain a journey of sobriety.
