Eric Post Awarded 2023 Best in Finance
We are proud to announce Eric Post, our Chief Finance Officer, has been honored with a “2023 Best in Finance” award by Louisville Business First! The award highlights an outstanding CFO or top financial executive in the Louisville community. This is a well-deserved recognition, and we are grateful to have Eric as part of our team!
Our vision of boldly providing quality care and health services to improve the lives of individuals and families could not be carried out unless Seven Counties Services can financially fund our city’s unique needs. This includes continued financial growth, which Eric has directly influenced in many ways. A major contribution included navigating our organization through a pandemic where offices were routinely shut down and the immediate adoption and growth of telehealth services was necessary to meet the increased need of crisis, mental health, and substance use services.
About Eric
As a servant leader, Eric often boasts a smile, generous heart, and drives the mission of Seven Counties Services home to over 1,500 employees. While the financial performance and successful management of many accounts and budget lines is highly commendable, he contributes success to the passionate employees within our organization, generous donors and volunteers who make our mission possible.
Even beyond the numbers, Eric’s passion for financial leadership acts according to our community’s unique needs. His determination to provide mental health services, substance use treatment, and intellectual and developmental disabilities services to the Louisville community is paramount. He demonstrates this through participation in community events, raising awareness with key community leaders and partners, and managing the grants provided by the city and community partners to ensure every dollar results in life changing benefits for the individuals in our community – which leads to another example of Eric’s financial leadership we’re extremely proud of.
Implementation of CCBHC
Eric secured and implemented Seven Counties Services’ achievement of becoming a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The CCBHC program was created by the Excellence in Mental Health Act, signed into law in 2014 with the purpose of improving access to and quality of mental health and substance use services in the United States – exactly what our CCBHC status allows us to do!
This certification directly helps our community in many ways. It increases access to care with appointments by phone, online requests and walk in options, plus a 24/7 crisis line and crisis services, and telehealth options. The CCBHC certification also provides the benefits of coordinating care with other providers, reducing healthcare costs, improving health outcomes, addressing social determinants of health, and overall, provides a range of community benefits to improve the health and well-being of individuals in the community. Financial Leadership
Eric successfully implemented this certification while navigating the many financial challenges that go along with it, resulting in increased reimbursement rates that have allowed us to expand services, add a substantial number of positions to payroll, heavily increase the bottom line, and be a resource to our community for years to come.
Financial leadership requires both ability and a passion to lead positive change in our community. Eric exceedingly does both while personifying a culture of hope. We are fortunate to have his leadership!
