Helping Your Child with The Back-to-School Transition
After being out of the traditional classroom setting for so long, this school year brings many anxieties and fears for kids who are heading back to school full time and in person. At Seven Counties Services, our School-Based Services team has therapists who work directly with children (and their families) across nearly 200 schools in the region to help them thrive in school in the face of challenges and uncertainty.
In this video, hear from Ron Van Treuren and Courtney Potts from our school-based team about behavioral signs parents should be mindful of with their children that may indicate a concern, such as extreme fear, lack of appetite, severe anxiety, and anger. They also share tips and resources for early intervention to increase the likelihood of success for a child or youth who is struggling with school.
