When Summer Becomes Stressful, Seven Counties Services Can Help

Many of us think of summer as a fun and relaxing time. We think of longer days and vacations. For some families, especially those dealing with mental health challenges, summer can be very stressful.

When school is out, daily routines change. Support systems may not be easy to reach. Families can also face money problems, childcare needs, and the effects of hot weather. These challenges can build up and sometimes lead to a crisis.

Know the Signs of a Crisis

It’s important to notice when stress becomes more serious. Warning signs for any member of your family may include big changes in mood or behavior, pulling away from family and friends, and increased use of alcohol or other drugs. Other things to look for include feelings of hopelessness, more arguments at home, and thoughts of harming oneself or others.

Seven Counties Services Can Help

Seven Counties Services offers Crisis Services to support families in need. Help is available 24/7 from trained professionals who can provide support and guidance during difficult times. Mobile Crisis Teams can come to you at home or in the community.
