Seven Counties’ will host its Second Annual Celebrate Recovery! Conference on Friday, July 24 at the Hyatt Regency, Louisville. The conference will bring providers, consumers and family members together to celebrate the role each plays in creating a recovery environment for adults with severe mental illness throughout Louisville and surrounding counties.
Seven Counties is accepting nominations for three awards to be presented at the conference. The nominees can be providers, consumers, family members, community leaders, employers, or organizations:
Champion of Service in Recovery: A strong advocate who believes in and has a vision of recovery, promotes recovery, reaches out to help others, develops recovery opportunities, and exemplifies leadership with consumers, staff, agencies and the community.
Champion of Life in Recovery: An individual with an enthusiasm for recovery, exemplifies the positive spirit of recovery, takes initiative and is proactive in self-recovery, encourages others in recovery and advocates for self and others.
Champion of Community in Recovery: An organization/employer which promotes community integration by employing individuals in recovery, advocating for change, developing opportunities for people in recovery.

At the Medical News’ MediStar Awards gala on March 12, the work of Seven Counties Services and its chief child psychiatrist were honored. During the evening, eight awards were presented to the "best of the best" in the healthcare industry in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Seven Counties Services, as an organization, won The Governor’s Award for ‘The Dignity of Humanity’ and Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Garcia-Gray, Chief Medical Officer of our Children’s Psychiatric Services was awarded the prestigious Physician of the Year Award.
